Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas sliced
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 packet instant vanilla pudding mix about 3.4 oz
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups vanilla wafers or biscuits
  • 1 cup crushed golden sandwich cookies
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 small box strawberry gelatin powder dry
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries chopped

Instructions

Make the Pudding

  • In a large bowl, add cold milk and pudding mix. Whisk for about two minutes until smooth. Let it sit for five minutes. It will become thick and creamy.

Whip the Cream

  • In another bowl, add heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla. Use a mixer to beat until soft peaks form. The cream should look light and fluffy.

Combine Cream and Pudding

  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding. Do not mix too hard. Keep the mixture light and airy. This step makes the dessert extra creamy.

Prepare the Crunch Topping

  • Crush the golden cookies into small crumbs. Mix them with melted butter and dry strawberry gelatin powder. Stir well until everything is coated and slightly moist.

Slice the Bananas

  • Peel and slice the bananas into thin rounds. Try to keep them even. This helps the layers look neat and balanced.

Start Layering

  • Take your serving dish. Add a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom. Then add a layer of banana slices on top.

Add Creamy Mixture

  • Spread a thick layer of pudding mixture over the bananas. Use a spatula to smooth it out evenly.

Repeat the Layers

  • Repeat the layers again. Add wafers, bananas, and pudding. Build at least two or three layers for best results.

Add Strawberry Crunch

  • Sprinkle the strawberry crunch mixture on top. Cover the entire surface. This gives the dessert its signature look and taste.

Add Fresh Strawberries

  • Scatter chopped fresh strawberries on top. This adds freshness and a pop of color.

Chill Before Serving

  • Cover the dish and place it in the fridge. Let it chill for at least 2 hours. This helps the flavors blend together nicely.

Notes

  • Use slightly ripe bananas for the best sweetness and texture.
  • Chill your mixing bowl before whipping cream for better results.
  • Add a layer of strawberry jam for extra fruity flavor.
  • Try chocolate wafers instead of vanilla for a twist.
  • Use whipped topping if you want a quicker option.
  • Make it in small cups for individual servings.
  • Add nuts for extra crunch if you like.
