Ingredients
  

  • All-purpose flour – 3 cups
  • Warm water – 1 cup
  • Active dry yeast – 2 teaspoons
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Olive oil – 3 tablespoons
  • Tomato sauce – 1 cup
  • Mozzarella cheese – 2 cups shredded
  • Bell peppers – 1 cup sliced
  • Onion – ½ cup sliced
  • Olives – ½ cup sliced
  • Dried oregano – 1 teaspoon

Instructions
  

Activate the Yeast

  • Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit until foamy.

Make the Dough

  • Add flour, salt and olive oil. Mix gently until soft dough forms.

Knead the Dough

  • Knead dough on a floured surface for eight minutes until smooth.

Let Dough Rise

  • Place dough in oiled bowl. Cover it. Let it rise for one hour.

Preheat the Oven

  • Heat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare baking tray with parchment.

Shape the Dough

  • Roll dough into a round shape. Place it on prepared tray.

Add Sauce

  • Spread tomato sauce evenly. Leave edges clear for crust.

Add Cheese

  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over sauce. Cover evenly.

Add Toppings

  • Add peppers, onions, and olives. Sprinkle oregano on top.

Bake the Pizza

  • Bake for twenty minutes until crust is golden and cheese bubbles.

Cool and Slice

  • Remove pizza from oven. Let it cool slightly. Slice and serve.

Notes

  • Use whole wheat flour for texture
  • Add mushrooms or spinach
  • Brush crust with olive oil
  • Use fresh basil after baking
