Ingredients

  • pounds fresh brussel sprouts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F. High heat helps create crispy edges and deep flavor.

Clean the Brussel Sprouts

  • Wash brussel sprouts well. Trim ends and remove any yellow outer leaves.

Cut for Even Cooking

  • Slice brussel sprouts in half. Larger ones can be quartered for even roasting.

Season the Sprouts

  • Place sprouts in a bowl. Add olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss well.

Arrange on Baking Sheet

  • Spread sprouts on a baking sheet. Place cut sides down for better browning.

Roast Until Crispy

  • Roast for 20 minutes. Flip halfway so all sides become golden and crisp.

Add Butter and Cheese

  • Remove tray from oven. Add butter and sprinkle parmesan cheese evenly over sprouts.

Finish Roasting

  • Return to oven for five minutes. Cheese should melt and lightly brown.

Drizzle with Balsamic

  • Remove from oven. Drizzle balsamic glaze lightly over hot brussel sprouts.

Serve Warm

  • Serve immediately while hot and crispy. Enjoy the rich flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use fresh brussel sprouts for best texture.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan while roasting.
  • Add crispy bacon pieces for extra flavor.
  • Use garlic butter instead of plain butter.
  • Swap parmesan with pecorino cheese.
  • Add crushed red pepper for heat.
