Ingredients
  

  • Green cabbage – 1 medium head
  • Olive oil – 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic – 4 cloves minced
  • Parmesan cheese – ½ cup grated
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
  • Paprika – 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon optional

Instructions
  

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. This helps prevent sticking and makes cleaning easier after cooking.

Prepare the Cabbage

  • Wash the cabbage well. Remove any outer leaves that look rough. Cut the cabbage into thick slices or wedges. Keep them even so they cook at the same rate.

Make the Garlic Oil

  • In a bowl, mix olive oil and minced garlic. Add salt, pepper and paprika. Stir well. This mixture will coat the cabbage and give it flavor.

Coat the Cabbage

  • Place cabbage pieces on the tray. Brush or spoon the garlic oil over each piece. Make sure all sides are coated. This helps them roast evenly.

Add Parmesan Cheese

  • Sprinkle grated parmesan over the cabbage. Try to cover each piece lightly. The cheese will melt and create a crispy topping.

Roast the Cabbage

  • Place the tray in the oven. Roast for 25–30 minutes. Turn the pieces halfway through cooking. The edges should become golden and slightly crispy.

Check for Doneness

  • The cabbage should be tender inside. The outside should look browned and crisp. If needed, roast for a few more minutes for extra crispiness.

Add Final Touch

  • Remove from oven and drizzle a little lemon juice if you like. This adds a fresh taste. Serve warm and enjoy the crispy edges.
