Ingredients
  

  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 2 cups milk any type
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or honey

Heat the Water

  • Boil water and let it cool slightly. Hot but not boiling water works best for matcha.

Add Matcha Powder

  • Place matcha powder into a small bowl. This is the base of your drink.

Whisk the Matcha

  • Add a little hot water to the powder. Whisk until smooth and free of lumps.

Add More Water

  • Pour the rest of the hot water into the bowl. Mix again until well combined.

Heat the Milk

  • Warm the milk in a pan or microwave. Do not boil it.

Sweeten the Milk

  • Add sugar or honey to the milk. Stir until fully dissolved.

Combine Matcha and Milk

  • Pour the matcha mixture into a glass. Add warm milk slowly and stir gently.

Make It Iced (Optional)

  • Add ice cubes if you prefer a cold drink. Stir again for a refreshing version.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste your drink and adjust sweetness if needed. Add more sugar or honey if desired.
