Ingredients
  

  • 500 g strong white bread flour
  • 7 g dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 325 ml warm water
  • Extra flour for dusting

Activate the Yeast

  • Add warm water to a bowl. Mix in sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy. This shows the yeast is active.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, add flour and salt. Stir gently so they mix evenly. This creates a strong base for the dough.

Add Wet Ingredients

  • Pour the yeast mixture into the flour. Add olive oil. Mix slowly using a wooden spoon until it forms dough.

Knead the Dough

  • Place dough on a floured surface. Knead for 8–10 minutes. It should become smooth and elastic. This builds structure.

First Rise

  • Put dough in a clean bowl. Cover with a kitchen towel. Leave it in a warm place for 1 hour. It should double in size.

Punch the Dough

  • After rising, gently press the dough to release air. This helps create a better texture for the crust.

Divide the Dough

  • Cut dough into 2–4 equal pieces. Shape each into a ball. This makes it easier to roll later.

Roll the Pizza Base

  • Sprinkle flour on the surface. Roll each dough ball into a thin circle. You can make it thick or thin as you like.

Pre-Bake the Crust

  • Place dough on a baking tray. Bake for 5 minutes at 200°C. This keeps the crust crisp and firm.

Add Toppings and Bake
