  • 100 g mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare Vegetables

  • Wash and dry all vegetables. Finely shred white and red cabbage, grate carrots and slice the onion thinly.

Make the Dressing

  • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Whisk until smooth.

Combine Vegetables and Dressing

  • Place all shredded vegetables in a large mixing bowl. Pour dressing over the vegetables.

Mix Well

  • Use a wooden spoon to gently toss the vegetables with dressing. Ensure all pieces are coated evenly.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste coleslaw. Add extra salt, pepper or vinegar if needed. Mix gently again for balance.

Chill Before Serving

  • Cover the bowl with cling film. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to enhance flavors.

Serve and Garnish

  • Transfer to a serving bowl. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top for color. Serve chilled alongside your main dishes.

Notes

  • Use a mandoline for evenly thin vegetables
  • Add a teaspoon of lemon juice for extra freshness
  • Substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter version
  • Mix in sliced apples for a sweet twist
  • Add celery seeds for traditional flavor
