Ingredients

  • 2 shots espresso about 1/2 cup strong coffee
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup oatmilk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Instructions

Brew the Espresso

  • Start by brewing two fresh shots of espresso. If you do not have a machine, use strong coffee. The coffee should be hot and bold. Fresh espresso gives the best flavor.

Mix Brown Sugar and Cinnamon

  • In a shaker or mason jar, add brown sugar and cinnamon. Pour the hot espresso over them. Stir quickly so the sugar melts completely. The heat helps create a smooth syrup.

Add Ice to the Shaker

  • Add ice cubes into the shaker with the sweet espresso mixture. Fill it halfway with ice. The ice will cool the drink fast and create a light foam.

Shake Well

  • Close the lid tightly. Shake hard for about 15 to 20 seconds. The drink will become frothy. The color will turn lighter. This shaking step makes the drink special and smooth.

Pour into Glass

  • Fill a tall glass with fresh ice. Pour the shaken espresso mixture over the ice. Leave a little space at the top for oatmilk.

Add Oatmilk

  • Slowly pour oatmilk over the espresso. Watch the beautiful swirl. Stir gently if you like. You can also leave it layered for a pretty look.

Taste and Adjust

  • Take a small sip. Add more brown sugar if needed. Add more oatmilk for creaminess. Adjust to your taste. That is the beauty of homemade drinks.

Serve Immediately

  • Serve the drink right away. It tastes best when cold and fresh. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top for extra flavor.

Notes

  • Use dark brown sugar for deeper flavor.
  • Add a dash of nutmeg for warmth.
  • Use vanilla oatmilk for extra sweetness.
  • Make brown sugar syrup ahead for quick drinks.
  • Shake longer for more foam.
  • Use cold brew for a smoother taste.
