Prepare the Plums

  • Wash the plums under cold water. Slice them in half and remove the pits. Cut the plums into thick slices so they stay juicy while baking.

Mix the Fruit Filling

  • Place the sliced plums in a large bowl. Add sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cornstarch. Gently mix everything until the plums are coated well.

Prepare the Baking Dish

  • Grease a medium baking dish lightly with butter. Pour the plum mixture into the dish. Spread the fruit evenly so it cooks nicely in the oven.

Make the Crumble Topping
