  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Fresh fruits like strawberries kiwi, berries

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 250°F. Low heat helps pavlova dry slowly and evenly.

Prepare the Tray

  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Draw a circle as a guide.

Whisk Egg Whites

  • Place egg whites in a clean bowl. Whisk until soft peaks form.

Add Sugar Slowly

  • Add sugar one spoon at a time. Whisk until thick, glossy, and smooth.

Test the Meringue

  • Rub mixture between fingers. It should feel smooth, not gritty.

Add Cornstarch and Vinegar

  • Gently fold in cornstarch, vinegar and vanilla. Do not overmix.

Shape the Pavlova

  • Spoon meringue onto the circle. Shape edges higher than center.

Bake Slowly

  • Place tray in oven. Bake for 90 minutes without opening the door.

Cool Completely

  • Turn off oven. Leave pavlova inside until fully cool.

Whip the Cream

  • Whip cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.

Decorate with Fruit

  • Spread cream gently on pavlova. Top with fresh fruit.

Serve with Care

  • Slice carefully. Enjoy the crisp shell and soft center.

Notes

  • Use clean, dry bowls for egg whites.
  • Do not rush the sugar mixing step.
  • Low heat prevents cracking.
  • Add lemon zest for citrus flavor.
  • Try passion fruit for topping.
  • Make mini pavlovas for parties.
