Prepare the Beef

  • Slice the beef into thin strips. Keep them ready for cooking.

Heat the Pan

  • Add olive oil to a hot pan. Wait until it shimmers.

Cook the Beef

  • Sear beef strips quickly, 1–2 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Cook Onion and Garlic

  • Add onion and garlic to the pan. Stir until soft.

Add Mushrooms

  • Put mushrooms in the pan. Cook until they are golden brown.

Season the Veggies

  • Add smoked paprika, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine.

Add Mustard and Worcestershire Sauce

  • Mix in Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce for flavor.

Pour Beef Stock

Return Beef to Pan

Add Cream

Simmer Briefly

Garnish and Serve

  • Sprinkle fresh parsley. Serve hot with rice or pasta.

Notes

  • Use fillet or sirloin for tender beef.
  • Don’t overcook beef; it will become tough.
  • Add a splash of white wine for extra flavor.
  • Swap cream for Greek yogurt for a lighter sauce.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes instead of rice for variation.
