Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour: 1 cup
  • Brown sugar: 1 cup
  • Unsalted butter melted: ½ cup
  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Baking powder: ½ teaspoon
  • Salt: ¼ teaspoon
  • Chopped walnuts: ½ cup
  • Chocolate chips: ½ cup

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Turn your oven to 350°F. Line your baking pan with parchment paper. This helps easy removal later.

Mix the Wet Ingredients

  • Add melted butter and brown sugar to a bowl. Stir well until smooth and shiny.

Add Eggs and Vanilla

  • Crack eggs into the bowl. Add vanilla extract. Mix gently until everything looks combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients

  • Add flour, baking powder and salt. Stir slowly to avoid lumps in the batter.

Fold in Chocolate Chips

  • Add chocolate chips to the batter. Mix gently so they spread evenly everywhere.

Add Walnuts

  • Pour chopped walnuts into the bowl. Stir lightly for crunch in every bite.

Pour into Pan

  • Pour batter into the prepared pan. Spread evenly using a spoon or spatula.

Bake the Bars

  • Place pan in the oven. Bake for thirty minutes until edges look golden brown.

Cool Completely

  • Remove pan from oven. Let bars cool fully before cutting into squares.

Slice and Serve

  • Cut into twelve neat bars. Serve with tea, coffee or milk.

Notes

  • Use dark chocolate chips for richer flavor.
  • Skip nuts if you prefer smooth bars.
  • Add coconut flakes for extra texture.
  • Use parchment paper for clean slices.
  • Chill bars before cutting for neat edges.
