Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp shredded cheddar optional
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

Crack eggs in a bowl

  • Break the eggs into a bowl. Make sure there is no shell.

Add milk and seasoning

  • Add milk, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and pale.

Heat the skillet

  • Heat skillet on low. Add butter and let it melt slowly.

Pour eggs into skillet

  • Pour egg mixture into the pan. Let it sit for a few seconds.

Stir gently

  • Use a spatula to stir slowly. Fold the eggs, not scramble fast.

Add cheese if you want

  • When eggs are almost set, add cheddar. Stir until melted.

Remove from heat

  • Take eggs off the heat while still soft. They will finish cooking.

Serve immediately

  • Place eggs on a plate. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use low heat for creamy eggs.
  • Don’t overcook; remove early.
  • Add a splash of water for fluffiness.
  • Try adding chopped onions or peppers.
  • Add a pinch of garlic powder for flavor.
  • Use cream instead of milk for richer eggs.
